Spirit Airlines will resume flights between Fort Lauderdale, Florida and Cartagena in September, joining the resumption of international commercial flights in Colombia, as established by the government.

The airline indicates on its website that the route will have 4 weekly frequencies (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday) and will be operated with Airbus A320 aircraft.
The flights will depart from Hollywood airport at 10:45 and will land in Cartagena at 12:37. The return flight will take off from Rafael Núñez airport at 13:37, landing in Fort Lauderdale at 17:32.

“The President of the Republic had promised that Cartagena would be the first city to restart the international operation”, assured Maria Claudia Gedeon, manager of Corporate Affairs of Sacsa, operator of the Rafael Nuñez airport.
In addition, Gedeon said that along with Spirit, American Airlines would also begin flying as of September and JetBlue, Wingo and KLM would resume in October.
