U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Friday that an agreement to provide another $25 billion in government assistance to support tens of thousands of airline workers for another six months is “imminent,” reported Reuters.

Pelosi said the House of Representatives will pass “independent bipartisan legislation or achieve it as part of a comprehensive negotiated aid bill. She called on airlines to suspend permits and layoffs “because an agreement is being reached to help airline workers.
