British Airways will temporarily suspend its operations at London-Gatwick airport due to new restrictions that include a ban on international travel because of the Covid-19.

The airline said it will reduce its flights at Gatwick before eventually pausing operations at the airport until early December, when restrictions are expected to be lifted, the Daily Mirror reported.
Passengers affected by cancellations will be offered several options, including a refund, vouchers for future travel or the option to modify their reservation for a later date.

“Following the Government’s announcement of a new national closure for England last Saturday, we have been urgently reviewing our programme for November,” the airline said in a statement.
The airline had also suspended flights to and from Gatwick in March when the pandemic broke out, although it had resumed services as restrictions were reduced.
