The activity at Barcelona’s El Prat airport does not stop, so Aena has opted to readjust and reduce services. The most forceful decision involves the closure of T2 and the concentration of all airport activity in T1, a measure that was already applied in the hardest days of the confinement last spring. This means moving the activity of companies such as Ryanair, EasyJet, Wizzair, Jet2, AerLingus and Germanwings to T1, El País reported.

On November 19th, the airlines that operate in T2 will start their transfer to T1. The process must be completed before December 1, the date scheduled to close the terminal and concentrate all operational cargo in T1.
Aena tries to ensure that the centralization of services does not clash with security measures to avoid the accumulation of people in the same space. At the accesses, it will keep doors A, B and C open, and reserve D and E for citizens of countries outside the Schengen area. Only passengers with a ticket or boarding pass are allowed access to the terminal within six hours before the scheduled departure of the flight.
