Aeromexico, second airline to resume flights with 737 MAX.

After 21 months on the ground, the return of the Boeing 737 MAX in Mexico will take place on December 21st, date in which Aeromexico will operate with this equipment the flight AM512 that will take off from Mexico City at 09:01 towards Cancun airport, according to its web page.

This flight will mark the return of the MAX to the country, after the US and Brazilian air authorities gave the green light for the new takeoff of the aircraft, According to El Financiero.

On December 3, Mexico’s Federal Civil Aviation Agency (AFAC) published the requirements for the resumption of operations of the MAX 8 and 9.

For such an aircraft to fly in the country, airlines must install new flight control software, install the new cockpit display system, incorporate new operating procedures and change the routing of the normal stabilizer adjustment cables.
