Virgin Atlantic will offer “the ultimate 747 experience” for fans of the plane this Dec. 12 at Heathrow Airport, before it is retired.

In the airline’s hangar, pilots, cabin crew and engineers will welcome fans for a three-hour experience, starting with a tour of access to all areas, and even including a meal (3 courses) in the business class seats.

Fans will tour the aircraft, including the crew rest areas, the cargo hold and the flight deck.
They will also hear anecdotes about the 747 from those who used to fly it, including Yvonne Kershaw, the first female captain of the Virgin 747.
The tickets, which cost 50 pounds ($67), go on sale Monday, Dec. 7, at 9 a.m. through Eventbrite, although fans will have to be quick as space is restricted to ensure social distancing.
