Aerolineas Estelar signs cooperation agreement with Global Crossing Airlines.
Venezuela’s Aerolineas Estelar has signed a cooperation agreement with Global Crossing Airlines Group (GlobalX).
Under the terms of the agreement, the two airlines will work closely to reestablish daily nonstop service from Miami to Caracas and three weekly flights to Maracaibo, which will be operated with GlobalX’s Airbus A320 aircraft, once the ban on flights between the two countries is lifted, Bloomberg reported.

Currently, direct air service between the U.S. and Venezuela is prohibited by orders of the U.S. government and the Department of Transportation. GlobalX anticipates that these restrictions will be lifted in the coming months.
“We look forward to working with the owners and management of Estelar Airlines, in accordance with all regulatory and governmental regulations, to assist them in restoring their service to Miami,” said Ed Wegel, president and CEO of GlobalX.
