European aircraft manufacturer Airbus delivered a total of 32 commercial aircraft to 20 customers in February, compared to 21 a month earlier, and received 11 new orders, although it recorded 92 cancellations, according to the company’s balance sheet published Friday.

In a context marked by the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on airlines and the aeronautical sector, the increase in the number of new orders compared to January, when none were recorded, EuropaPress reported.

As for February deliveries, the manufacturer has detailed that there were two A220 aircraft, 29 A320 family aircraft – 2ceo and 27neo – and one A350 aircraft. To date, the European aeronautical manufacturer with a presence in Spain has delivered 53 aircraft to 27 customers in 2021.
Airbus reported earlier this year the close of 2020, a year marked by the coronavirus crisis, when it delivered 566 commercial aircraft. Looking ahead to 2021, the manufacturer anticipated that it was aiming for stability following losses a year earlier.
“We have issued guidance to provide some visibility in a volatile environment,” said the company’s CEO, Guillaume Faury, adding that many uncertainties remained this year.
