Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) announced Tuesday that it has completed a sale and leaseback agreement for 18 new Boeing 737 MAX aircraft for American Airlines.

The agreement was signed in the third quarter of 2020, and the first of the new aircraft was delivered in December of last year.
“This transaction reflects our agility, the strength of our balance sheet, our underwriting capabilities, our ability to help one of our customers over the long term and our belief in the product strength of the 737 Max 8 aircraft,” said Firoz Tarapore, chief executive officer of DAE.
