China plans to build more than 30 new airports over the next four years, according to the country’s Civil Aviation Administration (CAAC).

By 2025, the designed capacity of airports across China is expected to reach 2 billion passengers, as the country intensifies the construction of major civil aviation infrastructure projects, CAAC official Zhang Qing told a press conference, Xinhuanet reported.
According to Zhang, the administration will contribute to China’s “dual-circulation” development paradigm by better serving people’s needs for diversified air travel and modernized logistics.
