Flight bookings to Spain with EasyJet soar.
The airline easyJet has recorded an increase in bookings to Spain from Switzerland and Germany, following the Swiss government’s decision to add Spain to the list of territories exempt from quarantine and the announcement by the German government to stop considering Castilla-La Mancha, the Valencian Community, Extremadura, La Rioja, Murcia and the Balearic Islands as risk areas.

Specifically, bookings on routes connecting the Swiss regions of Basel and Geneva with Spain increased by more than 150% and, in the case of Germany, grew by up to 466% on the connection between Berlin and Palma de Mallorca, compared to the status of bookings on the same day the previous week.
easyJet’s managing director for Southern Europe, Javier Gándara, stressed that the increase in bookings “proves once again the desire of people, whether from Switzerland or Germany, to travel again for leisure or to visit friends and family.”
The airline offers flexible booking policies that allow customers to book their travel with the confidence that if their plans change, so can their booking. It is part of the “Europe with Confidence” promise.
