VivaAerobus is entering the Colombian market by starting flights between Mexico City and Bogota on August 21, informed the airline’s CEO, Juan Carlos Zuazua, on Thursday.
Initially the route will have two weekly frequencies and from September 15 it will be a daily flight, offering fares between 100 and 120 dollars for a single flight, added Zuazua.

He also informed that the company is considering opening new routes to Cartagena and Medellin.
The presentation of the new flight, the first in South America for the low-cost airline, was attended by the Colombian Ambassador to Mexico, Patricia Cárdenas, and the President of ProColombia, Flavia Santoro.
