Aeromexico took delivery last Saturday of its first Boeing 737-9 MAX, as part of an agreement to increase its fleet with twenty-four 737s, as well as four 787-9 Dreamliners, which will be incorporated between 2021 and 2022.
Aeromexico’s 737-9 MAXs are configured to carry 181 passengers, 16 in Clase Premier, 18 in AM Plus and 147 in Clase Economica.
Last Friday, Aeromexico’s CEO, Andres Conesa, posted on Linkedin a message that read: “I am very proud to be able to share with all of you that in the next few days the first 5 Boeing 737s will arrive, out of 24 that will be delivered to us. They will be 737-9 MAX and 737-NG models”.
The airline expects these aircraft to begin commercial operations in the first half of June.
