Starting June 21, Aeromexico, along with the International Air Transport Association (IATA), will trial the IATA Travel Pass, a digital app that will be available on routes from Mexico City to Chicago and Madrid.
IATA Travel Pass was created to simplify the customer experience and allows customers to store and manage travel documentation required by countries, such as COVID-19 negative tests and/or vaccination certificates.
“This IATA Travel Pass trial is part of our digital strategy to offer a cutting-edge service and continue to guarantee a secure, seamless, and reliable travel experience. We will continue to implement initiatives that allow us to incentivize travel recovery with modern and efficient tools,” said Andres Castañeda, Aeromexico’s Executive Vice President of Digital and Customer Experience.
Eligible customers on these routes will be invited to participate in Aeromexico’s trial and notified via email to take part in the experience by following a few simple steps:
- Download the IATA Travel Pass on Apple Store or Google Play.
- Register travel and health documents and upcoming flights.
- Check-in at SkyPriority counters.
- At the airport, display the IATA Travel Pass confirmation “OK to travel” message.
With its recent service increase, Aeromexico offers more than 4,400 seats per week to Chicago and more than 4,900 to Madrid.
The implementation of the IATA Travel Pass adds to the efforts of Aeromexico’s Health and Sanitization Management System (HSMS), which seeks to guarantee a reliable travel experience under the highest safety standards.
