Airbus delivered 50 aircraft to 32 customers in May, bringing its year-to-date total to 220 aircraft, up 38% from the same period last year, the European aircraft manufacturer said Monday.

Deliveries included one A380 superjumbo to Emirates, leaving four more to be delivered before the world’s largest airliner ends production following weaker-than-expected sales.

Airbus also confirmed an order for five A350 aircraft from Germany’s Lufthansa, announced by the airline last month.

But Airbus data released Monday showed that the German airline had also simultaneously canceled three previous A350 orders, resulting in a net addition of two A350 aircraft. An Airbus spokesman confirmed the mix of cancellations and orders, Reuters reported.
