In aviation every kg of fuel saved on a flight reduces CO2 emissions by 3.16 kg, reducing fuel consumption, costs and emissions.
The Aircraft Performance Company GmbH has designed a new innovative wingtip called Trinitair as a cost-effective retrofit solution, which installs in less than 24 hours and offers: performance improvements, reduced engine wear, increased range and increased payload, as well as a significant reduction in fuel consumption leading to reduced CO2 and NOX emissions.
The Trinitair is capable of reducing fuel consumption by up to 2%.
The new wingtip will make its first test flight on an Airbus A330 of the Portuguese airline Hi Fly, which will be the first airline in the world to use it.
