European aircraft manufacturer Airbus delivered only 36 aircraft in October, down from 40 in the previous two months, due to the difficulties of its suppliers to increase the pace of production, weighed down by the pandemic.

So far this year, Airbus has delivered 460 aircraft, leaving 140 to be delivered to reach the year-end target of 600.
In October Airbus sold 22 aircraft, including a previously reported order for 15 aircraft from Jet2.
So far this year it has sold 292 aircraft, for a net total of 125 after cancellations.

Airbus remains ahead of Boeing in deliveries, but is behind in new orders this year.
In the first nine months of the year, the latest period for which data is available, Boeing delivered 241 aircraft and sold 710, a figure that is down to 302 after cancellations and other adjustments.
