Alaska Airlines announced that it will offer nonstop flights between Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and Miami, Florida, beginning June 16, 2022.
This makes the City of the Sun the “100th” destination operated by the airline from Seattle.

The route will operate one daily flight on Boeing 737-900 aircraft.
“We have found a perfect location for our 100th non-stop flight from our home airport in Seattle. Miami is a cultural hub for travelers from around the world with its incredible nightlife, art, music, architecture and food,” said Brett Catlin, Alaska Airlines’ vice president of networks and alliances. “With the launch of our new daily nonstop flight in June, we will connect two cruise capitals just in time for summer as we prepare for easy fall getaways to South Florida, the Caribbean and beyond.”
Next summer, the airline will serve South Florida’s two major airports with the addition of Miami. Since 2012, Alaska Airlines has offered nonstop service between Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and Seattle, and in 2022 will increase to two daily frequencies. It will also offer seasonal winter service from Fort Lauderdale to Los Angeles, Portland (Oregon), San Diego and San Francisco.
