Iberia and Spanish tour operator SamaTravel have reached an agreement to operate charter flights to Egypt, specifically to the cities of Cairo and Luxor.
Flights are scheduled to start next January 8 until the end of October 2022 every Saturday, alternately to the capital, Cairo, and Luxor, the main destination for tourist cruises.
→ Iberia recovers flights to Maldives and Cali.
Iberia’s flight schedules between Madrid and Egypt will allow good connections from other destinations in Spain such as Barcelona, A Coruña, Vigo, Asturias or Bilbao.
“From the moment we dared to be the first worldwide to resume charter operations to Luxor, we have observed how demand has been growing day by day. Most of our flights have been full in the last few months, and there have even been waiting lists. Therefore, we decided that we could not fail to meet the requests of operators and travel agencies, and we have made a strong commitment to expand the offer to our star destination, with the privilege of doing so hand in hand with Iberia,” said Mohamed Ali, CEO of SamaTravel.
For his part, Guillermo González Vallina, Iberia’s Sales Director for Spain, Portugal and North Africa, also notes that “we are very happy to fly to Egypt again, a destination we were going to return to in 2020 but had to temporarily suspend due to the pandemic. Now, thanks to SamaTravel, we are going to carry out this charter operation that we are sure will be a success. From Iberia we hope to offer customers a magnificent experience during their vacations”.
