This Tuesday, President Nayib Bukele inaugurated the expansion of the terminal of El Salvador’s International Airport “San Óscar Arnulfo Romero y Galdámez”.
With an investment of US$56 million, the expansion of the air passenger terminal includes a three-level building, five waiting rooms, five boarding bridges, a new immigration and customs area, as well as a commercial area, according to the Autonomous Executive Port Commission (CEPA).
→ Miami was the US airport with highest cargo volume in 2021.
The project was awarded in 2018 to Caabsa. During the previous government administration it was defined that it would be delivered in May 2019, but it presented different delays that keep it under construction until today.
