On June 2, Niceair, a new Icelandic airline, will start operations. Based in Akureyri, the company was created in response to a growing local market in the north of the country.

The airline will initially offer flights to the UK, Denmark and Spain from Akureyri Airport, using an Airbus A319 aircraft.
The airline will start ticket sales and announce which airports it will fly to in the coming weeks.
