Recertification of the Boeing 737 MAX continues, the head of Russia’s Federal Air Transport Agency Alexander Neradko said Wednesday.
“The recertification of the Boeing 737 MAX continues. We continue to interact with Boeing,” the official said. “The work continues calmly, in a scheduled manner.”

“The update of documents on the interaction between the FAA and the Russian agency is ongoing. This is for the purpose of conducting the recertification of the Boeing 737 MAX on an improved regulatory basis,” Neradko said.
He also noted that the agency is currently very busy with completely different work related to extending the operating conditions of the MC-21-300 aircraft and Ka-62 helicopter, and certification of Il-114 and Baikal aircraft.
More than 185 regulators around the world have authorized the flight of the 737 Max. Russia remains one of the few countries that has not yet recertified the aircraft.
