Ultra Air, which recently began operations in Colombia, received a request for information from the Civil Aeronautics after learning of Avianca’s complaints regarding the possible commercialization of flights without the approval of the appropriate slots for operations.
The complaints made by Avianca began on February 22 when the company reported to the Civil Aeronautics that Ultra Air had between February 21 and March 26 a total of 131 flights marketed without the approved slots after a review of the Score system. Subsequently, on March 10, it was reported by La Republica newspaper that Ultra Air had more than 1,000 flights marketed without the pertinent authorization from the Civil Aeronautics.

Avianca expressed its dissatisfaction and warned that due to this non-compliance, cancellations and delays may occur. In addition, due to this situation, flights of other airlines at El Dorado Airport could be affected.
The company Ultra Air must respond to this requirement within a maximum period of 10 days, as indicated by the Civil Aeronautics through a press release.
