Canadian airlines Air Transat and WestJet have launched a new codeshare for transatlantic flights.
The WestJet code is now activated for sale on select Air Transat-operated flights to/from France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland and Croatia. Connections via Montreal and Toronto are available for flights beginning May 17, 2022.

For its part, On May 4, 2022, Air Transat’s code will be activated on select WestJet airline flights.
“We are very pleased to launch this codeshare agreement with WestJet,” said Michèle Barre, Air Transat’s Vice President Network, Revenue Management and Pricing. “The complementarity of our respective networks allows us to offer more alternatives to our customers by providing them with a quality and affordable product.”
“This new codeshare with Air Transat complements our growing global network, allowing WestJet to offer customers exciting new destinations in Europe,” said John Weatherill, WestJet’s Chief Commercial Officer.

With this new codeshare, passengers now have more options for their transatlantic travel, and will enjoy conveniences such as one-stop shopping for connecting flights, the ability to check in on all flights on their first departure, and checked baggage all the way to their final destination.
Once activated, Air Transat and WestJet codeshare ticketing will be available through both carriers’ websites and call centers.
