JetBlue announced Tuesday that it is poised once again to disrupt the competitive transatlantic market with the introduction of its long-awaited flights between Boston and London beginning this summer.

New nonstop service between Boston Logan International Airport and London-Gatwick Airport will take off on July 19, 2022, followed by nonstop flights between Boston and London-Heathrow on Aug. 22, 2022.

London is the largest nonstop market not currently served by JetBlue in Boston and is among the most sought-after destinations for the airline’s large customer base. With service to Heathrow and Gatwick, the carrier becomes the only airline to fly between New England and London’s two largest and busiest airports.

“Our strategy of flying to Heathrow and Gatwick airports has been a success for us in New York, and we have secured slots so we can do the same in Boston, making us the only airline in New England to offer flights to London’s two major airports,” said Robin Hayes, JetBlue’s chief executive officer.
