The Peruvian Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC) announced the entry of JetSMART airline into the Peruvian market, after being granted the air operator’s certificate for domestic flights.
The company obtained in November 2021, the “commercial aviation operating permit: domestic scheduled air transport of passengers, cargo and mail”, and has already completed the corresponding administrative processes through the General Directorate of Civil Aeronautics (DGAC) of the MTC.

The airline is expected to begin operations by the end of the second quarter of this year.
JetSMART will start with flights to Arequipa, Chiclayo, Cusco, Iquitos, Juliaca, Pucallpa, Puerto Maldonado, Piura, Tarapoto and Trujillo. The company also plans to operate international flights.
