Record Easter Week for Aerolineas Argentinas

Aerolíneas Argentinas confirmed that, during this long weekend, 300,000 passengers will travel on the company’s flights, which is a historical figure.

It is worth noting that such figure surpasses the 2018 Easter Week record of 270,000 passengers transported.

Aerolineas Argentinas increased its international flight frequencies.

“This is good news because it impacts on all sectors of the tourism industry that benefit from each Aerolíneas aircraft departing and arriving from any point in the country”, said Pablo Ceriani, head of Aerolíneas Argentinas.

During this weekend, Aerolineas arranged a special operation with significant increases in the frequency of its flights, operating an average of 253 daily departures, which means between 20 and 25 flights more than on a standard day. For this purpose, the company arranged a series of reinforcement flights to the main tourist destinations in Argentina.

The most requested destinations were: Córdoba with more than 16,000 tickets sold, Mendoza and Iguazú with 14,000, Bariloche with 12,500 and El Calafate, Ushuaia and Salta with 11,000.

Also, international and regional flights had an important participation with close to 45,000 passengers transported throughout the network, with Sao Paulo, Santiago de Chile, Montevideo, Rio de Janeiro, Asunción and Brasilia among the destinations with the highest number of passengers.

It is worth mentioning that nearly 30% of the passengers transported were transported through the system of corridors and federal routes without passing through Buenos Aires.
