EasyJet reported Saturday that it plans to cancel 240 flights over the next ten days, which will affect about 24 a day, to and from London’s Gatwick airport.

The British company assured that the cancellations – which will begin today and last until June 6, coinciding with the school vacations in the United Kingdom – are “necessary to provide reliable services during this busy period”.

KLM temporarily halts ticket sales for Amsterdam flights.

Last Thursday, EasyJet suspended about 200 flights because of computer problems at several European destinations.

“We have taken the decision to make advance cancellations of around 24 flights a day from Gatwick from May 28 until June 6,” the company said in a statement.

Customers will have the option to rebook their flight or will be able to receive a refund and claim compensation in line with current regulations.
