Aerolineas Argentinas confirmed this Monday the arrival in the country of a new Boeing 737 MAX that joins its short and medium range fleet.

Directly from the Boeing factory in Seattle, the aircraft landed at the Ezeiza airport last Saturday, June 25, after making a brief stopover in Punta Cana.

The plane was registered with the initials LV-KEJ and in the next few days it will be transferred to the FADEA (Argentine Aircraft Factory) workshops where the painting work will be carried out.

Aerolineas Argentinas reduced its loss by 34% compared to 2019.

The Boeing 737 MAX have a configuration of 170 seats (162 in economy and 8 in business class.)

“It is a great joy to be able to receive another zero kilometer aircraft that will serve to continue strengthening the domestic and regional network with better benefits, autonomy and considerable savings in aeronautical fuel consumption,” said Pablo Ceriani, president of Aerolineas Argentinas.

This is the sixth aircraft of its type to join the company’s fleet and is number 78 in the fleet. In the coming months, the arrival of a new Boeing 737 MAX and an Airbus A330 is expected, so the company will once again reach the figure of 80 aircraft, after the scheduled departures of 2 Airbus A330s and two Boeing 737s with several years of service. service in the company.
