Aerolineas Argentinas and GOL Linhas Aéreas announced an expansion of their shared code by means of which they offer their clients 8 direct flights between Brazil and Argentina, which will function as an air bridge starting in the last quarter of the year.
In this way, customers will have a new product that will facilitate travel between both countries, allowing them to change from one company to another at no additional cost, in addition to other benefits.
The new scheme of 8 daily flights will be in force from August between the airports of Guarulhos, Sao Paulo and Aeroparque “Jorge Newbery”.
→ Aerolineas Argentinas resumed flights to Rome.
“GOL and Aerolineas Argentinas have built, in recent years, a solid relationship through code sharing that benefits Brazilian and Argentine travelers with a wide connection in both Guarulhos and Buenos Aires. With this announcement, the alliance is strengthened and the possibilities and comfort of customers who choose to fly with us are expanded. At a time when our international routes are resuming, having an air bridge between São Paulo and the Argentine capital is a source of great satisfaction”, commented Randall Saenz Agüero, Director of Alliances at GOL.
“This airlift gives an extra boost to connectivity between Brazil and Argentina, offers more and better possibilities to customers and consolidates the excellent relationship we have with GOL. For Aerolineas Argentinas, the Brazilian market is central to our commercial strategy. That is why a good part of the work we have been doing is focused on having a varied and robust offer”, commented Fabián Lombardo, Commercial Director of Aerolineas Argentinas.
Aerolineas Argentinas and GOL Linhas Aéreas have an extensive shared code, which since 2014 allows the addition of miles and links 30 cities in Brazil with Buenos Aires, Córdoba, Rosario and Mendoza.
