Viva inaugurated on Wednesday its two new international routes from Medellin and Bogota to Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Both routes will operate four weekly frequencies in Airbus A320 aircraft. Tickets to this new destination start at USD 229 from Bogota and USD 249 from Medellin.
In this way, Viva becomes the first airline to directly connect Medellin and Buenos Aires.
“This start of operations to the south of the continent definitely generates a precedent in the Colombian airline industry and especially in the ‘Super Low Cost’ model, it is also a particularly important route for us and for me, as an Argentine, because we will be the only airline operating the Medellin-Buenos Aires route directly and best of all, with our characteristic low prices that will make this destination more accessible to our travelers. In addition, thanks to this new connection, Argentine citizens will be able to connect with Miami in stopovers of only 50 minutes from our ‘Hub Medellin’, and enjoy our network of international destinations in the center and north of the continent,” said Felix Antelo, CEO of Grupo Viva.
With the new routes, the company expects to transport 130,000 passengers in the first year of operations to and from Ezeiza International Airport.
