Cathay Pacific announced this Wednesday that it will resume its flights to Spain after two and a half years of forced interruption due to the Covid pandemic.
From October 2 and until January 2023, the airline will again fly over the Spanish sky with a direct weekly connection between Hong Kong International Airport and Madrid.
→ Akasa Air will start operations in August.
Flights to Spain will be operated by an Airbus A350-900, which has 280 seats (38 in Business class, 28 in Premium Economy and 214 in Economy).
“The progressive relaxation of restrictions to enter Hong Kong is stimulating the resumption of Cathay Pacific operations in Europe, such as the return to Madrid, a large hub for customers traveling for business or leisure. This is an important new milestone on our way to a full flight schedule recovery,” said Maggie Wong, Area Manager for Southern Europe at Cathay Pacific.
