Avianca temporarily suspends seven routes

Due to the high operating costs due to the inflation that Latin America is experiencing, added to the price of fuel and the devaluation of the Colombian currency, the airline Avianca reported that it will temporarily suspend seven routes, six international and one national, from September 1 and they will resume in October and December.

Avianca starts direct flights to Cali and Medellín from Cúcuta.

The suspended routes are:

“Faced with this situation, which is beyond the control of the airlines, the industry has sought mechanisms to mitigate the impact. Airline companies in the world, and not just Avianca, have had to permanently monitor demand in all markets to adjust capacity according to each one’s behavior,” Avianca said.
