Air Lease Corporation (ALC) announced on Thursday a long-term lease agreement for four new Airbus A321XLR aircraft with Canada’s Air Transat.
Delivery of the first three aircraft will take place between 2025 and 2026. The agreement also includes an option for the delivery of an additional A321XLR in 2027.

“ALC is pleased to announce this lease placement for four new A321XLRs with Air Transat and to be the first to introduce the XLR to the Canadian airline,” said Steven Udvar-Házy, Executive Chairman of Air Lease Corporation.
“Air Transat’s new leasing agreement with our trusted partner ALC represents another key milestone in the renewal and simplification of our fleet undertaken since 2017. Together with the A321LRs, the XLRs feature as a cornerstone of Air Transat’s 2022-2026 strategic plan. the airline,” said Annick Guérard, President and CEO of Transat.
