Dominican airline Arajet officially inaugurated on Monday its direct flights between Santo Domingo and San José, Costa Rica, and announced sales of flights to Guayaquil and Quito, Ecuador, where it will land for the first time on November 2.

Initially, the Costa Rican capital will be connected to Santo Domingo through four weekly frequencies on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, departing from Las Américas International Airport to Juan Santamaría International Airport at 8:15am arriving at 9:15am (local time). The flight from Costa Rica to Santo Domingo will depart at 10:00am arriving at 3:00pm.
Víctor Méndez Pacheco, president and CEO of Arajet, informed that the opening of these destinations strengthens commercial, tourism and cultural ties, as well as promoting economic development opportunities between the two nations: “The Dominican Republic now joins Costa Rica and soon Ecuador, two allied nations of our country that today are more united than ever,” he said.
