Icelandic airline PLAY launches ticket sales for its flights between Reykjavik and Athens (Greece), which will start on June 2, 2023 and will operate two flights a week until the end of October 2023.
PLAY’s Athens operations open up the option to travel between the Greek capital and the United States with a quick stopover in Iceland. The airline operates four destinations in the U.S. (New York, Washington, Boston and Baltimore).
→ Newark, Lufthansa’s Boeing 787’s first international destination.
“I am so excited for this new destination and believe many will agree with me. This will be a tremendous opportunity for Icelanders to get to Athens and this will add to the flights for people looking to get between Athens and the U.S.“ says Birgir Jónsson, CEO of PLAY.
Founded in 2019, PLAY offers flights to 27 destinations and will operate 10 Airbus A320/A321neo next year.
