German airline Lufthansa launched Monday a campaign to hire 20,000 people, after noting a recovery after the coronavirus pandemic.
Lufthansa is “hiring 20,000 new employees” in “45 trades” at its facilities in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Belgium, the group said in a statement.
The airline is mainly looking for “technicians, IT specialists, lawyers, pilots and cabin crew,” he added.

“Part” of the jobs on offer are newly created positions, and the rest will serve to replace employees who have left the group, a Lufthansa spokesman told AFP.
According to figures released this fall, Lufthansa had 108,000 workers at the end of September and wants to have about 115,000 by the end of 2023. Still, that will be fewer than the 138,000 salaried employees the group had at the end of 2019, before the covid-19 pandemic.
To carry out these recruitments, the airline will launch a communication campaign “in the press, on radio and online, and on all social networks.”
