Ryanair carried 15.7 million passengers in October, a record for the month and 14% higher than pre-COVID pandemic levels, the low cost carrier said Wednesday.

As in September, the increase in traffic meant that Ryanair carried more passengers last month than in any of its busiest summer months prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. It carried a record 16.9 million passengers in August.
The average occupancy rate per flight in October stood at 94%.
Ryanair expects to carry 166.5 million passengers in the year to the end of March, significantly above its previous record of 149 million.
