AirAsia to create a subsidiary in Cambodia
AirAsia Aviation Group Limited (AAAGL) signed this Friday a Joint Venture agreement with Sivilai Asia to create AirAsia Cambodia, a new low-cost airline.
This new airline will enable AAAGL to operate in the various existing markets where it already has a presence and operations to increase its scale, network connectivity and further reduce the cost of operations.

Subject to relevant regulatory approvals, the Joint Venture is expected to commence operations by the end of 2023.

The value of AirAsia’s network is an unsurpassed asset; it will be another flagship for extensive connectivity in Cambodia and to the region, namely China, India and North Asia, commented Tony Fernandes, CEO of Capital A.
