Airbus will not meet its target of delivering nearly 700 commercial aircraft in 2022
Based on its November deliveries of 68 commercial aircraft and the complex operating environment, European manufacturer Airbus said Tuesday that it believes its target of reaching “around 700” commercial aircraft deliveries by 2022 is now out of reach. However, the final figure is not expected to be substantially below target.
Airbus indicated it remains committed to meeting its financial guidance provided in the first nine months of 2022 results, which means that adjusted EBIT and free cash flow before M&A and customer financing guidance remain unchanged.

Given that this complex environment will last longer than expected, Airbus will adjust the A320 Family manufacturer to the 65 per month rate by 2023 and 2024, but maintains the target of reaching the 75 rate by mid-decade.
In November, Airbus also recorded 29 new orders and 14 cancellations, bringing the backlog to 7,344 aircraft.
