Some 20% of flights scheduled for Wednesday at Paris Charles de Gaulle airport and 25% of departures at Paris-Orly airport were canceled in the face of difficulties posed by snow and low temperatures this day, airport sources told EFE.

The measure had been imposed the day before by the French Directorate General of Civil Aviation, in anticipation of “orange alert” weather conditions in the Ile-de-France region, and depending on the restrictions it was up to each airline to decide which routes to cut.
