Caribbean Airlines announced that its ninth Boeing 737 MAX 8 began commercial operations this Friday.
The aircraft operated its first flight on the Puerta España-Miami-Puerta España route.

“The entry of our ninth 737-8 aircraft into our commercial schedule is another milestone in the renewal of our fleet. The new fleet has allowed us to offer our customers a significantly improved in-flight experience and has also benefited the environment by reducing emissions and fuel consumption,” said Garvin Medera, CEO of the airline.
The airline currently has a fleet of 17 aircraft: one Boeing 737-800, nine 737 MAX and seven ATR 72, according to Planespotters.
