The Peruvian Ministry of Transport and Communications informed, through its twitter account, that as of noon this Friday, the Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport in Cusco resumed operations.
At 13:30 the first flight of LATAM airline departed to the city of Lima. Seventeen flights are scheduled for today.

This measure was taken following the decision of the Cusco Airport operator (Corpac), and because of the security conditions that guarantee the development of air operations.
Cusco airport closed its operations on Monday night after threats and subsequent attacks by groups of vandals. This measure forced airlines to cancel all flights.
