Aeromexico announced Tuesday that it has obtained the necessary authorizations from the competent authorities in Mexico and the United States to begin direct flights between Felipe Angeles International Airport (AIFA) and Houston, Texas, consolidating its position as the airline with the greatest connectivity to and from central Mexico.
This route will begin operations on May 1 with a daily flight on Embraer 190 aircraft.

Already scheduled flights to Houston from Mexico City International Airport (AICM) will continue to be served.
This will be the ninth destination Aeromexico offers from AIFA, and the first route to connect that airport with the United States.
After a regulatory and current conditions assessment, U.S. and Mexican authorities approved this route considering that AIFA also serves the Valley of Mexico metropolitan area.
