Boeing: Aircraft deliveries and orders to increase in 2022
U.S. manufacturer Boeing reported Tuesday that in 2022 it delivered 480 aircraft and won 774 net new orders (561 for the 737 family and 213 for twin-aisle aircraft).
Last month, Boeing closed the year delivering 69 aircraft and won 203 new orders net of cancellations.

Boeing’s 2022 deliveries include 387 B737s and 93 widebody aircraft: 5 B747s, 33 B767s, 24 B777s and 31 B787s.
For all of 2021, the manufacturer delivered 340 airplanes and booked 479 net new orders.
“We have worked hard in 2022 to stabilize 737 production, resume 787 deliveries, launch the 777-8 Freighter and, most importantly, meet our commitments to customers,” said Boeing Commercial Airplanes President and CEO Stan Deal. “As the airline industry extends its recovery, we are seeing strong demand across our product family, especially for the highly efficient 737 MAX and 787 Dreamliner. We will remain focused on driving stability within our operations and supply chain as we work to deliver for our customers in 2023 and beyond.”
Boeing’s commercial airplane backlog as of Dec. 31, 2022, totaled 4,578 airplanes, including 3,628 737 MAX airplanes.
