U.S. manufacturer Boeing plans to hire 10,000 employees in 2023 for its business unit and for engineering and manufacturing jobs, a spokesman told EFE news agency on Friday.
The company hired 15,000 people last year, reaching 156,000 employees, and with this new workforce increase it seeks to stabilize its operations, increase production and invest in innovation, said the spokesman, Connor Greenwood.

“This talent is helping us design, build and support the next generation of aerospace and defense products for our global customers,” he added.
The news comes a day after European rival Airbus announced that it plans to hire some 13,000 workers worldwide this year to ramp up production.
