JetBlue announced Thursday a number of new routes for this year – many of them made possible by its Northeast Alliance (NEA) with American Airlines – offering new options for customers in New York City and Boston.
The new routes announced are: LaGuardia-Atlanta beginning May 5, LaGuardia-Bermuda (summer season) beginning May 5, LaGuardia-Hyannis (summer season) beginning May 5, LaGuardia-Nassau beginning March 30, Newark-Aruba beginning June 15, Newark-Montego Bay (summer season) beginning June 15, Boston-Vancouver (summer season) beginning June 15.
Growth in Los Angeles
Outside of the Northeast Alliance, JetBlue is also independently advancing its strategy at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), with new service to Puerto Vallarta starting June 15.
By 2023, the airline will operate service between Los Angeles and 20 nonstop destinations.

“The Northeast Alliance continues to offer us new opportunities to unlock even greater growth potential in New York and Boston, with added benefits for customers across our network as we introduce new flights in markets where for too long travelers have had little or no competition,” said Dave Clark, JetBlue’s head of revenue and planning.
JetBlue’s new flights in New York and Boston bring a new option to many routes with limited competition today and are made possible by JetBlue and American’s innovative alliance.
By 2023, from New York’s three major airports, the NEA will offer more than 500 daily departures and nearly 200 in Boston.
So far, the NEA has resulted in some 50 new routes from JFK, LaGuardia, Boston and Newark; increased frequencies on more than 130 existing routes; 90 nonstop routes with increased capacity; and the launch of 17 new international routes.
