Etihad Airways will expand its European network this summer with the introduction of a new direct service between Abu Dhabi and Lisbon, Portugal, starting July 2.
The route will operate three weekly flights (Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Sundays) on Boeing 787-9 aircraft.

“We are delighted to introduce flights to Portugal for the first time and offer our passengers convenient travel options to one of the most popular summer destinations by 2023,” said Antonoaldo Neves, chief executive officer of Etihad Airways.
Summer flights to Malaga and Mykonos
In addition to introducing flights to Lisbon, Etihad Airways will again fly to Malaga on Spain’s Costa del Sol and the popular Greek island of Mykonos this summer.
The airline will fly to Malaga twice weekly (Wednesdays and Sundays) from June 18, and to Mykonos twice weekly (Mondays and Fridays) from June 16, 2023.
With the addition of new routes to Lisbon, Malaga and Mykonos, Etihad Airways will offer travelers nearly 160 weekly flights to 21 destinations in Europe this summer, with 20% more seats available than in 2022.
