Airbus and Qatar Airways have reached an agreement regarding their legal dispute over A350 surface degradation, the European manufacturer said Wednesday, avoiding a lawsuit in the United Kingdom.
The “amicable settlement” ends a long-running dispute, which had led Airbus to revoke dozens of aircraft orders from the Gulf carrier.

“A repair project is underway and both parties expect these aircraft to fly safely again,” Airbus said.
The Manufacturer indicated that the details of the agreement are confidential and that the parties will now proceed to terminate their legal claims.
“The agreement does not involve an admission of liability by either party and will allow Qatar Airways and Airbus to move forward and work together as partners,” Airbus added.
