During the summer season, Iberia has scheduled 730,000 seats with Portugal, 18% more than in 2019, and in August, the busiest month, it has scheduled 79 weekly frequencies, .
For another year, the airline will resume its summer routes in Portugal, operating direct flights between Madrid and Faro (from June to September) and Madrid-Punta Delgada (from July to September).
Iberia will start its operation to Faro in June with three weekly frequencies and, in August, the airline will increase its capacity to one daily flight to be operated by Iberia Regional/Air Nostrum with a CRJ1000, with capacity for 100 passengers.

In July it will be the turn of flights with Punta Delgada, a route that Iberia will offer with three weekly flights – on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays – until September. The route will be operated by an A320, with capacity for 180 passengers.
In Lisbon, Iberia will offer up to six daily flights in August, while in Oporto it will offer up to four daily flights, almost double the number of last year.
In addition, the airline has recently added Funchal to its scheduled route map. This destination started as a seasonal route but last winter consolidated its year-round operation. Iberia offers three weekly frequencies to Madeira airport which, in August, will be increased to a daily flight.
